Hello,
I've rejoined and hope your new site thrives. Thanks for having it!
I'm an old rivet head with Lone Stars, Feathercrafts, Welded Crestliners
Have a 1963 28' Marinette Family Cruiser bought out of West Virginia 3. Years or so ago
Tittle says 1963 but research makes me think it's a 1958, sharp bow with curved gunnels.
Identical to one in photos yournewboat.com non available old sale ad with photos
Different from one on You Tube under Marinette Family Cruiser

She is a project now located in Southern Maryland, I live in Alexandria Va.
I may pull the 70 hp Original Gray Marine , shaft and all and go to a bracket with a 150hp Mercury.
Motor and or parts may be available. Not running unsure if stuck.

Also looking for steering wheel. It was stolen. Sits on a threaded shaft with key slot.
I will measure shaft.

Very cool boat, not corroded. Will post a picture.
Regards,
Andrew

Thanks Doug, interested in finding others.
Luckily my wife puts up with my boats.
I put up with her collecting children and dogs.
So I boat a lot!

If it truly dates back to 1953 and has the original running gear you might consider keeping it that way for sake of originality. Of what manufacture is the engine?

1962 Marinette 31' Express
Single Gray Marine AMC 327

1955 Feathercraft Deluxe Runabout
Mercury 500

1976 Saquaro Jet Boat
Ford 460
