I like ZZZ and its pretty good, oood this kind of scenes are really good showing us why they need the mappers, this reminded me a bit of Elden Ring or horror games techniques

TLDR: I felt that you pointed out some scenes skipping the times when other games do a good job, but I give you the Reason about the excess of talk.
Bible:
it depends of in what moment (if it's early on the game or later), I could talk for lots of gacha games but I'll focus on hsr, genshin and wuwa (havent played arknights)
Genshin: Stormterror attack, Hilichurls corruption, calibert, the almost xiao sacrifice, navia almost death for the primal water, Arleccino, Shogun killing Signora, Furina.
HSR (Here I can't defend cuz there was lots of yapping on quests but we have few ones):
Kafka attack the hertha station, MC possible death A patient of Bailu becoming corrupt, Tiangyun Phantylya reveal, when Topaz comes to Belobog, Dream when getting to Peaconny, Acheron killing us to wake you up (form the 2.0 we got the clue that killing you wakes you UP so we don't suspect about death even thoug we experienced that), death meme, sparkle transforming, Firefly and Robin's death, (ok there are even more but i'll stop)
WuWa: (Yep this one has almost nothing cuz is mostly centered on gameplay) Crownless first appeareance ( i put my nieces to play and they got jumpscared xD), when your dream starts to fail and you meet Dreamless.

@@zardon_zane1630 Well, I can't point out all the highlights in those games, but let me pick some examples. I haven't stopped playing Genshin around Sumeru's second expansion, and I haven't gone past Belobog in HSR. So let's use one I already know.
Let's talk about Kafka attacking Herta's station in the intro of HSR. Do they need to talk about the Genius Society at that moment? No. But you have to walk pass those display boards talking about the members. Another one, do they need to talk about Elio and Destiny's Slave this early on? No. Do they have to talk about how Herta keeps a lot of collections of Curios and how one of them can rate a creature from 0 to 100? No. You will find them later when it's relevant in the story. Doing it at the intro is just confusing the player. Remember, at the start of the game, the player is still figuring out what's important to the story and what is not.
Let's use another, the intro of Wuthering Waves. Does Yangyang need to mention what is a Waveworn Phenomenon, Etheric Sea, or Retroact Rain at the intro? No. You will see Retroact Rain later in Act 5 and 6.
The problem with these scenes is that it's either completely unnecessary or can be told in a different way. As I said in the video, we're playing video games. If you have to sit down and read the characters explaining to you what just happened, you already failed in storytelling. Show, don't tell. And if you really have to tell, keep it short.
Of course, there are times where they did well. But the reputation these games got from the playerbase has a reason to exist. They did yap a lot, and on topics that is usually irrelevant to the plot. Or being overly convoluted.@zardon_zane163016 วันที่ผ่านมา
@@FeyHunt I have to give you the reason on that, intros are hard to make but even zzz suffers this a lot of times since tv mode is a doble edged sword, they use events and can explain easily snd dedicate more resources on important moments and hollow zero is good but it leaves lots of stuff to player interpretation ( fights that "happen", deaths in some quests and even important events like the granny saving the 3 babies on Rina's quest) luckily they are gonna improve it and we wilo get less tv mode in the future

@@zardon_zane1630 Yeah, I'm kinda torn on that one. Reducing the TV mode might give us more awkward standing around dialogues that Genshin and HSR have.
And I'm not sure if removing HDD entirely is a good idea. Maybe they'll make more missions like the Rally missions? Just an endless corridor with cutscenes in between?
